Tech Notes
Hundreds of us have lost jobs and telco customers still are not fully and properly served. This website will address these problems. Customers do not want to take time away from their jobs to have  jacks installed. Customers do not want to pay time and material charges. Fixed price is a win-win issue, for us and our customers.

As of July 2000, the use of old-style, red-green-yellow-black "quad"
(four-conductor) telephone wiring is no longer permitted for residential or commercial installations, according to the Federal Communications Commission.  The FCC ruling, which specifies  Category 3 or better inside wiring for all new and retrofit installations, was written to be
sure that homes and businesses are prepared for the expectations of voice and data requirements in the future.

AC current in 120 (or 220) volt lines produces a magnetic field in wires running parallel to the AC lines. This produces hum on audio wires  or noise on data wires. Cat 3 twisted wire pairs help reduce this noise. Proper wire routing is the best prevention for AC-induced noise, because crossing the AC line at right angles ( 90 degrees) and avoiding parallel runs prevents the hum and noise from that AC line.

Two pair Cat 3 only $15 per box (thousand foot box)
